Facilities

The University’s commitment to academic excellence is backed by the highest quality facilities and equipment, with over £250 million invested in the last few years to further develop and improve their campuses. The Hive is a multi-million-pound library and the first of its kind in Europe. The beautifully designed centre is home to a quarter of a million books and 12 miles of archive collections, as well as a number of educational and cultural spaces to support its busy events programme. With many awards to its name, The Hive is one of the top ten visited libraries in the country, with accolades for its innovative services, staff and the building itself.

With a reputation for sporting excellence, their sports students have a wide range of specialist amenities to aid their studies. From the 2,000 seat University of Worcester Arena and fitness suites to human performance labs and floodlit astroturf pitches, their sports facilities cater for the needs of both able-bodied and disabled athletes.

One of the University’s newest facilities is the Art House which finished in 2018 and fully opened for regular timetabled teaching from the beginning of 2019. The Art House is the home for Fine Arts and Illustration students, as well as providing facilities for a range of other arts-based learning.
 

The City of Worcester
