Facilities

Edinburgh Napier University is proud to have invested £100m to provide some of the very best teaching and learning facilities in Scotland. Based over three campuses, it offers a variety of innovative facilities and resources, from state-of-the-art recording studios to multimedia language labs, an environmental chamber to a 500-seat 24-hour computing centre, and excellent research labs and sports centres.

The university’s support services help students make the most of their time at Edinburgh Napier. There is an international support team dedicated to advising and supporting international students before arrival in the UK.

Once enrolled, students will be able to take advantage of academic and study support, which includes in-session support for all international students to help with academic English and to allow them to become more familiar with the expectations of the UK education system. Students can also access a range of personal support services including counselling and mental wellbeing, faith and spirituality, and disability and inclusion.

The university’s careers service provides a range of support services and advice to students including one-to-one sessions, help with resumes, access to current graduate vacancies and more. Students can also take advantage of the study abroad opportunities and study for a trimester or year abroad at a partner institution.

[EN]GAGE is the university’s state-of-the-art fitness facilities offering affordable student memberships. Facilities include a fitness suite, sports hall and access to weekly classes. Students looking for team sports can join a sports club through Edinburgh Napier Students’ Association (ENSA) while those looking for something different can join one of the many other societies on offer, supporting students throughout their university experience.

The university’s student accommodation sites contain hundreds of self-catered apartments and are home to around 1,500 students. They are all new (built between 2014 and 2016), central and offer great value for money.

There’s also the option of a private apartment, and the university can still help with that, with advice from how to deal with contracts to making sure you’ll love your neighbourhood.

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE?

The information on this page has been submitted by the higher education institution itself, and it varies how frequently they update it. If you want to know more, get in touch and one of our student advisors will answer all your questions!

Across the Pond is the official representative for this teaching institution for selected countries around the world which means we can help you apply to their courses and help with all the documents needed to submit an application. We can help answer questions about their courses and the institution itself as they do not necessarily have the capacity to deal with student enquiries from all around the world on a daily basis. This also means that they can ask us questions about your application and we can help explain if they are not familiar with your grades, academic background or the educational system in your home country. They also appreciate that students who apply through Across the Pond get the help they need, not only in terms of submitting the application and supporting documents, but also with everything needed before arrival in the UK, such as student accommodation, visa information, funding information and well as preparing for departure to the UK.
