Our staff-to-student ratio – 5:1 – is one of the best of any university in the world. 94% of our graduates are in relevant employment or further study six months after graduation. Our programmes are structured to offer many choices from full and part-time study, including short courses. On some courses, you can choose to start your studies at different times of the year. Our taught programmes can deliver an MSc, MBA, MRes, MDes, PgDip or PgCert.

We have mutually beneficial relationships with around 1,500 companies and organisations. These include Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Unilever, easyJet, Coca-Cola, and the UK Civil Aviation Authority and UK Ministry of Defence.
World-class, large-scale facilities
Cranfield is one of only a few universities in the world to own and run its own airport, maintaining an aerospace heritage stretching back more than 70 years. Many of our facilities are industry standard, used by other universities and serve as essential, front-line resources for the UK as a whole. These include:

The National Flying Laboratory Centre and the National Wind Tunnel facility

Crash Impact Centre; one of just three FIA-approved test centres in the world, crash-testing Formula One cars.

The Structural Integrity Laboratory studies the mechanical behaviour of components and material samples up to 250,000 tonnes and has machines unique to any university in Europe.

Life at Cranfield University
Cranfield University is a truly international community where students from all over the world come together for their education in a safe and peaceful environment. There is a wide range of accommodation to meet diverse requirements, including family homes and single student apartment blocks.
As a student of Cranfield University, you are automatically a member of the Cranfield Students’ Association (CSA).The CSA runs a wide range of activities and entertainment, day trips, sports clubs and cultural/social societies.
All campus amenities – including bars, shops, a post office, sports hall, bank and bookshop are within walking distance. There is also an on campus nursery and preschool offering the very best for young minds. Excellent leisure and shopping facilities can be found in Milton Keynes and the historic town of Bedford, just a short drive away.
