Support for international students
With a history of welcoming international students for over 100 years, our support is far-reaching and all-encompassing. We offer many pre-arrival services including immigration advice, the chance to meet us at events in-country as well as offering free advice through our representatives. The Link to Leeds Ambassador Scheme gives prospective students the opportunity to talk to current University of Leeds students about their experiences and to ask questions about what it’s like to live in Leeds. The support we provide continues once you’re in Leeds and throughout your time studying with us. We host an international week with a host of induction activities and social events to help you settle in.
The Careers Centre supports students to help them decide, plan and compete in a global graduate job market. This is done through a range of activities. They offer drop-in sessions, guidance appointments, mock interviews, and online guidance to support students in making decisions and developing the skills to make successful applications to work or for further study. They also have a resources room with up-to-date information to support students in making decisions, planning their future and competing with other graduates in the labour market. There is also a specific service for international students which helps them explore information about occupations, industry sectors, and employers, both in the UK and their country of origin.
Accommodation
There is an impressive range of student housing, from modern, purpose-built apartments to converted-period properties both on and off-campus. We guarantee University accommodation to all international fee payers who apply before the deadline of 1 July.

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE?
The information on this page has been submitted by the higher education institution itself, and it varies how frequently they update it. If you want to know more, get in touch and one of our student advisors will answer all your questions!
Across the Pond is the official representative for this teaching institution for selected countries around the world which means we can help you apply to their courses and help with all the documents needed to submit an application. We can help answer questions about their courses and the institution itself as they do not necessarily have the capacity to deal with student enquiries from all around the world on a daily basis. This also means that they can ask us questions about your application and we can help explain if they are not familiar with your grades, academic background or the educational system in your home country. They also appreciate that students who apply through Across the Pond get the help they need, not only in terms of submitting the application and supporting documents, but also with everything needed before arrival in the UK, such as student accommodation, visa information, funding information and well as preparing for departure to the UK.
