Across the Pond Partner Scholarship

International students applying for university in the UK through Across the Pond can apply for specific scholarships at a selection of our British university partners for the upcoming academic year. This is a unique opportunity to have access to some much-needed additional funds! We want all students to have the opportunity to get a scholarship, and not just those with good grades. That is why we have our own scholarship program to make scholarships available for everyone. The participating universities vary from year to year.

University  of York - Autumn 2024 Intake

Award: 1 scholarship of £15,000 awarded to a bachelor's or master's student starting in autumn 2024. The scholarship will be distributed as a £15,000 tuition fee waiver applied to the first academic year only.

Eligible applicants: International students (international fee payers) who will be completing a bachelor's or master's degree at the University of York, and who have applied via Across the Pond. The scholarship only applies to the academic year 2024/25 starting in the autumn of 2024 and cannot be deferred. The scholarship is available for most subject areas at the university, but there are some exceptions. Ask your student advisor if the degree you wish to study at the University of York qualifies for this award. The scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships offered through the university or Across the Pond.

Application instructions: Fill in the application form at the bottom of this page, write York when asked which university and make sure you include your scholarship application based on the instructions given to you by your student advisor with Across the Pond.

Who can apply?

The scholarships are available to international students who apply through Across the Pond. You must have applied for autumn admission to the university where the Across the Pond partner scholarship is available, but you do not need to have been offered a place or decided on where you will go at the moment of applying for the scholarship. 
 

How to apply

To apply for a scholarship via Across the Pond's Partner Scholarship Programme you must send us your application via the form at the bottom of this page. Your Across the Pond student advisor will be able to share the application instructions with you. Applications that do not follow the instructions from our student advisors will not be assessed.
 

Scholarship winners

Across the Pond will contact scholarship winners as soon as possible after the application deadline. The university must approve the winning entry before the winner can be confirmed. To receive the scholarship, you must start studying at the university which has awarded you the scholarship, from next autumn. The scholarship itself (reduced tuition fees) will be agreed directly with the university.
