Brunel University London is home to 15,000 students, from over 100 countries, who work, think and learn together on a single campus. Situated in a fantastic West London location, Brunel is one of the top 25 universities worldwide founded in the last 50 years. By combining academic rigor with a practical, entrepreneurial and imaginative approach, the university equips students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to meet the challenges of the future.

Since 1966, Brunel has offered undergraduate and graduate degrees that encourage invention, innovation and imaginative thinking. The university offers programs in engineering and design, computer science and mathematics, business, law, environmental science, economics and finance, clinical and health sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. With a strong focus on employability (900 students secured placements across a range of sectors and organizations in 2013-2014), Brunel’s courses produce professionally-minded and skilled graduates that employers want.

The university’s world-leading research provides solutions to worldwide problems, covering everything from public health and food sustainability, to politics, social justice and sports sciences. The 2014 REF results placed Brunel in the top quarter of research universities in the UK and judged over 60% of research to be world-leading or internationally excellent.

A range of scholarships are offered at Brunel, including the Academic Excellence Award and the Brunel International Scholarship, which entitles students to 15% off their tuition fees. Excellent support is also provided for the university’s international students including English language courses to improve academic skills, free foreign language classes, year-round international student support, free three-day orientation program, immigration and visa guidance.

Brunel’s Study Abroad program offers an ideal opportunity for international students wanting to spend a period of time studying in the UK. Modules are available across most disciplines and are part of the regular undergraduate curriculum enabling study abroad students to learn alongside UK-based home students.

Brunel is located in Uxbridge, just 30 minutes from central London. The town center is compact and just a 20-minute walk or short bus ride from the campus; it has more than 300 shops, a multiplex cinema, dozens of bars and restaurants. The university is also within easy access of London Heathrow Airport (just 20 minutes by car) and close to motorway links to the rest of the UK.

The university’s single campus has received more than £400 million of investment in recent years. The four-mile site includes accommodation for over 4,500 students, teaching space for every course, a 24/7 library, sports facilities, bars, restaurants and clubs. Students also benefit from an on-site medical center, bank, mini-supermarket and weekly fruit and vegetable market.

Brunel is a center of excellence in the academic study of sport sciences and part of the English Institute of Sport network. The university’s £14 million sports and fitness complex possesses Olympic standard facilities, plays host to over 50 sports clubs, as well as GB athletes and Olympic champion Usain Bolt.

Brunel’s halls provide high quality, modern facilities. The university’s 4,531 rooms are all on campus, meaning students are never more than 10 minutes away from the teaching, social and sporting facilities.

  • Campus accommodation is guaranteed to all international students who have applied, met their conditions and confirmed their acceptance of an offer by 1 September.
  • All rooms are single, so students will not need to share. Most rooms are en-suite, but standard halls can also be chosen to suit personal budgets. Studio flats are available for co-habiting couples.
  • All rooms offer a free network connection with wireless access.
  • Specially adapted rooms are available for students with disabilities.
