As a US student in the UK, you will be housed in one of nine self-catering Colleges which are at the centre of the Lancaster University community. The Colleges help you adjust to university life, provide social and study facilities, practical support and information and are an important part of making Lancaster one of the friendliest universities around England, Scotland and Wales. You are guaranteed a single study bedroom on campus for the duration of your studies. Most accommodation is self catering where you have access to a shared kitchen and there are a limited number of self catering rooms.

The University of Lancaster Students’ Union sponsors over 60 clubs and societies as well as 30 sports clubs. The Sports Centre, opened in May 2011 enjoys state-of-the-art facilities for individual and team sports, gym facilities, climbing and bouldering wall and swimming pool as well as many training and recreational classes. You can get involved with the student newspaper Scan, the campus radio station or volunteer to work on projects in the local community.
