You are guaranteed a single study bedroom on campus for the duration of your studies. Most accommodation is self catering where you have access to a shared kitchen and there are a limited number of self catering rooms.

 

The University of Lancaster Students’ Union sponsors over 60 clubs and societies as well as 30 sports clubs. The Sports Centre, opened in May 2011 enjoys state-of-the-art facilities for individual and team sports, gym facilities, climbing and bouldering wall and swimming pool as well as many training and recreational classes. You can get involved with the student newspaper Scan, the campus radio station or volunteer to work on projects in the local community.

You will also find a studio theatre, concert hall, art gallery and a film theatre on campus as well as many activities in your College.


The city of Lancaster offers a combination of history – the medieval Castle and Benedictine Priory Church, alongside several museums celebrating Lancaster’s past such as the Maritime Museum – as well as shopping in high street stores or boutiques, outdoor and indoor markets, and a varied nightlife including cinema, theatre, clubs, pubs, restaurants and cafes.
