We can offer this unique free service, as our funding is provided from the leading UK universities that have appointed us to represent them in the U.S. This means we can offer every student who works with us the best choice in terms of courses, institutions and geographical locations in the UK. We encourage students to aim for excellence and attend a university that suits both their academic and personal goals, and believe that by using our service students will significantly improve their chances of being accepted at our partner universities.

Across the Pond's creative and innovative approach to student recruitment is inspired by the combined personal and professional experiences of its founders; through their expertise in international study, research, public relations and careers counselling.

John C. Borhaug is from Norway and earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism in Britain. He also holds an American M.S. in Journalism and an M.A. in Political Science. John has worked in a variety of communications and research positions in universities and media organizations in the U.S., Norway, Bosnia and the UK.

Hannah Liscombe is from the UK, and has extensive higher education administration experience in both the U.K and U.S., specializing in student development and careers counselling. Hannah holds a BA degree in American studies from the University of Wales, Swansea and an American M.A. in Political Science from Ohio University.

Aste Dahl is from Norway and has extensive international student advice experience from the UK and the US. She holds a BA in Chinese Studies from Pacific Lutheran University, USA and a MA in International Studies from University of Leeds, UK.
